A very good friend, Phil Derner, left a great job at JB three-or-so months ago to be with the love of his life in CA.

Before that -for a period of two years- he commuted weekly from NY to CA and back to be with her.

She has three boys, and it seems that he is a great role model for them, and as much loved and adored by them as he is by her.  This is no surprise, as he wholeheartedly threw himself in the difficult task of being part of a blended family

She was just diagnosed with cancer, and it is serious.
The amount I asked for is little, probably not much more than the equivalent of a week in a hospital, but it will help with the “little” things.
