Support Phil & Suzan.

Phil & the Ugandans were released.  They are required to report back to Lira Police barracks on December the 18th.

All proceeds of this campaign will go to:

1) An appreciation event for all those who have supported us, to which we will invite the District Police Commander (DPC) who arrested us as the guest of honor.

2) A campaign to encourage all religious leaders in Uganda to have their congregants file a permission letter with their respective DPCs every week they want to attend a worship service - an action of "civil obedience" that will encourage Uganda's government to withdraw the Public Order Management Act out of frustration with its inherently bureaucratic nature.

3) Increased communication, transportation, etc. expenses incurred during this difficult and hectic time, especially as we try to ensure the well-being of the participants of our December 6 meeting who we understand are suffering ongoing threats and harassment."
This is a great organization helping to end systemic poverty and injustice in Northern Uganda. For more information see:

As many of you know Phil and Suzan were detained without charges on December 6th in Lira, Uganda. Phil was then trasported to Kampala(The Ugandan capital).

While things are looking positive for his possible release, Phil and Suzan have incurred tremendous travel fees and legal expenses. Any and all support will go directly to the continuation of Solidarity Uganda's mission and the covering of said fees.
