Louisiana Pharmacy Relief Fund
Hurricane Laura left a wide swath of devastation in its path throughout Southwest and Central Louisiana. Many pharmacists, staff members, and their families have also experienced untold damage to their homes, businesses, and livelihoods. LIPA founder and long-time pharmacist, Ricky Guidry, also suffered significant damage to his family home and property during Hurricane Laura.
LIPA members have dedicated their lives and careers to bettering the health and welfare of their communities. But now they are challenged with personal losses associated with downed power lines and lack of electricity, flooding and wind damage, and the inability to access routine communication and potable water.
Although our pharmacists are no strangers to disaster and have begun the long and arduous recovery process, we are compelled to lend a helping hand to those who have suffered. This is not the first, nor will it be the last, natural disaster we will have to endure together.
Please help us mitigate these obstacles as our members continue to provide health care to their communities while recovering from the personal hardships inflicted by this brutal hurricane.
The Louisiana Independent Pharmacies Association along with its board and staff ask anyone who can help to please donate. If you have a particular region which you would like your donation to be concentrated, please provide that information. Thank you in advance for your support of Louisiana’s independent pharmacists – our frontline heroes dedicated to the health and welfare of our communities. Let’s join together to help all those affected.
