For more than 10 years, Petyr has been a consistent and generous presence in Kelowna’s live music, arts and creative community. He is a familiar face who shows up regularly to support venues, musicians, artists, and creatives who give the city its character. His steady presence and spending help sustain the warm, connected culture that make this city shine.
He’s at a breaking point. A string of bad timing and hard setbacks has caught up with him. He’s trying to find work, dealing with housing stress, waiting on CPP, OAS, and other supports, and facing insurance renewals he can’t avoid.
He’s been scraping by month to month, but there’s nothing left to juggle. He’s out of options, and without help soon, things could fall apart. Together these things have created an immediate cash flow gap and a looming threat of eviction.
The goal is to raise $7,000 to provide short-term stability while benefits are finalized and income normalizes.
Funds will go toward:
• Rent
• Car insurance renewal
• Groceries and gas
• Essential medication
• Basic living expenses during this transition
This is a bridge, a focused, time-limited effort to protect his housing and allow him to regain stable footing to focus his efforts on finding employment.
When you have seen Petyr at shows over the years, you know how much he supports artists and the arts community. This is an opportunity for the community to support him in return. You also know that every little bit adds up and will be appreciated.
Help get Petyr over this temporary cash flow slump so he can he can get back to providing the level of support Okanagan Arts deserves.
