The Terra Cafe and Michael McGee present THE PETRIFIED FOREST, the classic American play by Robert E. Sherwood. (Humphrey Bogart later portrayed escaped gangster, Duke Mantee, in the popular film version.) Written in 1936 during the Depression when Fascism was rising in the world, the play is entirely set at the Black Mesa Bar-B-Q, a family-owned cafe in the Arizona desert. Dead wood has turned to stone in the nearby Petrified Forest. In a world out of balance, Gabby must fight through fear, danger, and chaos to catch her dreams. (complete budget is attached below)
