Dear Friends and Family,
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved dad, Peter Scott. As we come to terms with this loss, we are reaching out to our community for support during this challenging time.
Born and raised in Jamaica, he embodied the warmth, resilience, and spirit that characterize Jamaican culture. He moved to Canada in the 1980s to start a new adventure, eventually settling in Vancouver. Not only did he carry the essence of Jamaica in his heart, but he also brought its flavours to life in the kitchen with his exceptional cooking skills. Beyond that our dad's personality was a captivating blend of humour, vibrancy, and caring warmth. His infectious laughter brightened even the dullest moments, and his humble nature stood as a testament to the strength of his character. In his presence, one could not help but be enveloped in the love, joy, and zest for life that defined our dad's extraordinary spirit.
His unexpected passing on Christmas Day adds a poignant layer to his memory, highlighting the profound emotions associated with the holiday season. Becoming a grandfather marked a joyous chapter in his life, and his enthusiasm for his granddaughter was truly heartwarming. His dedication and hard work reflected his unwavering commitment to providing a better future for his children, always keeping their well-being at the forefront of his thoughts. He cherished his workplace, where colleagues transformed into family. Over the years, it became evident how significant and meaningful this environment was to him, contributing to his personal and professional growth. He had a strong bond with his siblings and kept his mother dear to his heart. He frequently recounted the encouraging words they exchanged, and reminiscing about their shared laughter always brought warmth to his heart. His legacy is one of love, diligence, and a deep conviction in the significance of family, leaving behind profound reflections on life and the lasting lessons he shared. We want to honour his memory with a fitting farewell.
