Hello my name is Peter, I have Cerebral Palsy, During the birth there were complications, the umbilical cord was wrapped around my neck not allowing enough oxygen to the brain.  In the delivery room there was a teaching session going on so the doctor who was delivering me didn’t react fast enough and did not do an emergency C-section, leading to my Cerebral Palsy (C P).  I was clinically dead for fifteen minutes when I was born, I had no pulse and wasn’t breathing.  C P is a group of non-progressive, non-contagious motor conditions that cause physical disability in human development, chiefly in the various areas of body movement.
I need a robotic arm.  With this arm I will be able to eat and drink unassisted, pick things off the ground, get things off shelves.   This arm will give me more freedom and independence.
