Hello!

My name is Ryanne Riegling, and from June 29 to July 3, 2025, I’ll be cycling nearly 440 miles across Michigan—from Traverse City to Detroit—to support and uplift our LGBTQ+ community through the vital work of Affirmations, a nonprofit community center in Ferndale, MI.

Why Pedal for Pride?
Affirmations has been a cornerstone for LGBTQ+ individuals in Southeast Michigan since 1989, offering a safe and welcoming space for people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and cultural backgrounds. Their mission is to provide resources, support, and advocacy to empower individuals and promote inclusivity. Your donation will directly support Affirmations’ programs, including mental health services, youth leadership initiatives, support groups, and community events. These services are essential for fostering a sense of belonging and ensuring that everyone has access to the support they need.

The Journey
I’ll embark on a five-day cycling adventure across Michigan, visiting vibrant communities, scenic shorelines, and rural landscapes along the way as I raise awareness and support for Affirmations.

 Route:
 • June 29: Traverse City → Ludington (90 miles)
 • June 30: Ludington → Grand Haven (90 miles)
 • July 1: Grand Haven → Grand Rapids (70 miles)
 • July 2: Grand Rapids → East Lansing (85 miles)
 • July 3: East Lansing → Detroit (100 miles)
