Please Help Turkish stray cats and dogs

Hi my name is Ece and I am one of the Founders of Paws of Hope Rescue. As a very small team, we are dedicated to rescuing stray cats and dogs from the streets and overcrowded shelters in Turkey. In the wake of the recent government legislation that threatens the lives of millions of innocent strays, the situation has never been more urgent. While the law no longer explicitly mentions euthanasia, it has led to a disturbing increase in violent crimes against stray animals, leaving them in even greater danger. We step in to give these animals the second chance they deserve.

### Our Mission:

We rescue animals from shelters, providing them with immediate care, food, and essential medical attention. Each rescue is not just about saving a life—it’s about healing physical and emotional wounds, ensuring they are safe, and preparing them for their forever homes abroad.

### The Rescue Process:

•⁠ ⁠*Rescue from Shelters or the Streets*: We identify animals in urgent need, often in shelters where they face grim prospects due to overcrowding and poor conditions.

•⁠ ⁠*Provide Medical Care and Rehabilitation*: Every rescued animal receives veterinary care, vaccinations, and any necessary treatments to restore their health.

•⁠ ⁠*Offer Safe Shelter and Nutrition*: While awaiting adoption, our rescues are placed in loving foster homes or partner shelters where they are nurtured and rehabilitated.

•⁠ ⁠*International Adoption*: We work tirelessly to find forever homes for these animals, often in countries where their future is brighter. We handle all the legal paperwork, transportation logistics, and titration processes to ensure a smooth transition to their new families.

### The Challenge:

This is an expensive and time-sensitive process. Medical bills, shelter fees, transport costs, and legal requirements quickly add up. Without sufficient funding, we simply cannot save the number of animals that desperately need help.
