We were hoping we could make it through the end of the year without asking for help again… but life had other plans. This week alone, 10 of our cats will need veterinary care — neutering, dentals, blood tests, and more.

FANTA, who came to us just last week with severe cat flu, is struggling to breathe because he’s so congested. Today he had blood test done and had to stay at the vets for fluids, as he’s eating very little — sometimes nothing at all... And hopefully they can help him to ease the congestion with injectable medicine

TEDDY, our long-term foster boy with asthma, has started to show signs of pain and discomfort in his mouth. He needs an urgent dental and blood work.

And our special little boy MARCEL

Marcel’s story began the day he wandered into a shop—lost, fragile, and desperately in need of help. Thanks to a team of kind people, this tiny boy found his way to us. When he arrived, he was extremely unwell, and we were genuinely afraid he wouldn’t survive the night.

But Marcel is a fighter.

With urgent medication, loving care, and a foster mum who spent sleepless nights feeding him and keeping him comfortable, he made it through. As the swelling in his eyes slowly reduced, we discovered heartbreaking news—one of his eyes was too damaged to save Our mission then became clear: save his remaining eye

Marcel was seen by eye specialist Natasha, who prescribed further treatment. Although he doesn’t show full vision in his remaining eye, we know he can still see light and movement—he proves it every day by chasing his toys and joyfully greeting anyone who visits him. Even after everything he has endured, Marcel’s loving spirit shines

Marcel is still under 1 kg and has a long road ahead.

He will need:

Surgery to remove his damaged eye

Ongoing eye drops

Neutering once he is strong enough

High-quality food to support healthy growth

Continued veterinary monitoring and care

We are exhausted — financially, physically, and mentally. This has been one of the busiest years we’ve ever had, filled with emergencies and neglected animals who had nowhere else to go.

A couple of days ago I shared a post asking for support with our growing vet bills… and unfortunately they are rising again

Few days ago, while I was feeding one of the colonies, a delivery driver pulled up nearby. A few minutes later I heard faint cries coming from under the car bonnet. With the help of some kind people, we managed to rescue a tiny ginger kitten. He is nothing but skin and bone, with a sore, inflamed bum likely from severe diarrhoea, burns on his little nose, and what appears to be a broken leg and pelvis injury.

Update on Archie, the kitten who was found under the car bonnet... He needs surgery ASAP. He is with All PAWS now waiting for his surgery. Estimate price 600-700 Eur. Please help us to cover his veterinary bill and please keep him in your thoughts

We also have our beautiful Moonie in our care, who has recently been diagnosed with a heart condition. He needs to travel to Cork next week to see a cardiologist for a heart scan.

Our brave Teddy had his much-needed dental recently, along with bloodwork. He’s recovering wonderfully — all thanks to your support.

And sweet Marcel met his new friends yesterday, and our hearts melted watching how happy he was. His eyes are improving with medication, and we are in contact with Natasha, the eye specialist, to plan the next steps. He will need eye surgery soon.

Fanta spent the night at the vet clinic, where he received fluids and injectable medication that helped improve his breathing. Unfortunately, his tests came back positive for Feline Leukemia…

Despite the diagnosis, he’s recovering well, and we’re staying hopeful that he still has a few good years ahead
