Help Paula Rest in Peace Fund

On February 9, 2018, my mom, Paula K. Warren departed the physical world and joined her beloved husband Garry and daughter Natasha in the afterlife.  My mom was admitted to Banner Desert Medical Center early the morning of Sunday, January 21st for the treatment of double lung pneumonia. Her body and spirit, as well as the wonderful team of doctors and nurses, fought the unrelenting battle against infection for nearly three weeks. In the end, my mom succumbed to the sickness the evening of Friday, February 9th as I held her hand. Throughout her 62 years, my mom touched countless lives with her warm heart and selfless nature. Needless to say, she was loved by many and is missed far more than words can ever express. Across various settings, my mom spent her life in the care-giving and healthcare field; a perfectly fitted career choice for a woman of her character. She dedicated her entire life to caring for others in one form or another. First as a dutiful daughter and sister, then as a devoted wife, loving mother, and finally as a compassionate care provider to vulnerable individuals. My mom felt especially fulfilled when she was able to directly enhance the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. She truly influenced and improved the lives of many. Without regard to my incessant protesting, my mom was a diehard sports fanatic and the world would stop for her (and anyone who got in her way LOL) when the Green Bay Packers were on the TV! Watching The Pack play, win or lose, was always source of contentment for her. My mom also absolutely adored animals. Growing up, there was always some sort of critter running around the house! However, dogs were by far her weak spot. She would always say a family was not complete without at least one dog. Due to unrelated medical ailments in late 2016, my mom moved in with me, her only remaining immediate family member, and my fiance. There were quite a few rocky roads along the way, but upon reflecting on it now, I feel blessed to have had that time with her. With her young age, my mom's passing was profoundly unexpected. I never suspected she would not return home when I had the ambulance drive her to the hospital early that Sunday morning. I remained naive to the severity of her condition until her doctor stated as gently as he could that my mom would likely not make it through the day and I needed to start considering a possible DNR being put in place. It was not until that moment that I realized I was about to be left without my mom and nearly alone to handle everything. Unfortunately, as her only remaining immediate family member and ultimately her only local family, it is my responsibility to care for all arrangements. Consequently, I am in desperate need of assistance from those who cared for my mom in order to carry out this responsibility. My mom left behind absolutely no assets and I fell into financial hardship upon losing my job the very day before her passing. My mom clearly stated on several occasions that she wished for her body to be cremated and placed in an urn near dad's urn so they could be together again. Her extended, out-of-state family does not have the means to accumulate the necessary funds to cremate her. My mom deserves for her body to be honored and cared for according to her wishes. Without the assistance of others, I will have no way to honor my mom's wishes. Many of my mom's friends and a few extended family members have voiced that they would like to attend a memorial service, but, sadly, there cannot be one without the generosity of others. Please assist my family to celebrate my mom's life and honor her in the way she deserves. If you are unable to assist financially, please help by sharing our story. Any assistance is deeply appreciated.
