teacher of Transcendental Meditation

Hi. I have a special goal, becoming a certified teacher of Transcendental Meditation, the most scientifically verified system of meditation in the world (tm.org and Changing Lives, a moving video about the power of this program to help people in profound at-risk circumstances). A five-month, intensive teacher training course (website about the course) is being held in November that I am setting my sights to attend. The course fee is $16,500.

I am seeking a grant, scholarship, and loan that could reduce the course fee to $1650, but I'm trying to raise $5000 to cover my bills while on the course and other expenses. I've raised nearly half of this so far, so I'm on the way.

I'm 51 years old, and have an MBA from Indiana University Kelley School of Business. I've practiced Transcendental Meditation since I was 13, and have always loved it, a haven of peace in a crazy world. After years of corporate work in a wide variety of fields—publishing, IT, natural health care, and public policy (LinkedIn)—I'd like to take things to a more sublime level by spending my remaining productive years providing others with the same cool head and warm heart Transcendental Meditation has brought to me.
