Paul Vickers Medical Fund

Paul is a very loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.  He and his beautiful wife Teena will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary this coming November.  He has 2 kids and 5 grandkids that are his world.  He has been involved in rodeo most of his life and is known as one of the biggest teddy bears you will ever meet.  He is supportive and encouraging to not only his family but to everyone he meets.

On August 25th 2020, at the age of 62, Paul was taken to the Tonasket hospital with difficulty breathing.  The doctors ran some tests and determined that he has Congestive Heart Disease (heart failure.)  He was sent home from the hospital that day after getting a lot of the fluid removed and pressure off of his heart and lungs.  Since then Paul has not been able to work and Teena has had to miss work to take him to his medical appointments.

On October 8, 2020 Paul was not feeling very well.  He went to the hospital in Tonasket and after a brief period it was concluded that he was having a heart attack and was life flighted to Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee, WA.  On October 9th, after getting the results back from some tests, it was determined by the Wenatchee doctors that his heart issues were to much for them to handle.  They choose to send him to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA for more complete care.  In Spokane more tests were run and the family was informed that Paul would possibly need a triple or quadruple bypass surgery.  On October 12th the family got some devastating news.  The family was informed that Paul only had 10% heart function on one side and 18% heart function on the other and the he would not survive surgery and there is currently nothing they can do.  He was then released from the hospital on October 13th with the hopes that he can strengthening his heart with medication and hopefully get a heart pump installed in 6 months.  Teena has not left his side during this devastating time.

The Vickers family has a mountain of medical debt and continued medical costs while also having to stop business and miss work to be there with him. If you are able to show your support by making a donation it would be greatly appreciated. I know money can be tight but any amount will help this wonderful family and if you aren’t able to donate at this time please consider sharing our story.
