Paul Stone on his path to recovery and hopefully walk again.

Hi I'm Paul's Mother Janet,
On a beautiful sunny March 16th just a few weeks ago my youngest son Paul and his Dad (Vic) got up early for a morning hike to the coast. Before leaving Paul cleaned and prepared the house for a visit with his 5 yr old daughter Ellie that was supposed to happen later in the afternoon, all things were in order they headed out and 40 minutes later his whole life changed in an instant, he slipped, rocks gave way and he ended up on his back paralyzed and bleeding profusely at the bottom of a 60' cliff. He never lost consciousness Vic couldn't get down to him and because the location was so remote they had to wait almost 2 hours before help and air support arrived, all his Dad could do through the ordeal was talk to him to help keep him conscious. Paul was very brave through it all and as for Vic it has been extremely difficult as he saw it happen and was unable to reach him and could only call for help.
Paul ended up with a crushed spine, fractured neck, broken ribs and deep cuts to his head which required many stitches, and even though it has only been a few weeks he is on the mend working hard to hopefully get some function back in his legs, he'll be in Hospital for the next several months.
Unfortunately Paul has no health insurance other than New Brunswick Medicare and the costs are mounting and will be high for the proper ongoing rehabilitation support and necessary life items, wheelchair living accessories etc. needed to help him on this new path in life.
Paul is working hard to stay positive and is still struggling to heal from the surgeries and has concerns about his future. Financially we are doing as much as we can and hoping family and friends will want to help Paul offset some of the costs he is facing going forward for mobility life items, housing adjustments, rehabilitation and retraining.
Thank you so much.
