Hello and thank you for taking a few minutes to read this. My name is Patty. I was just accepted into the HIVE GLOBAL LEADERS PROGRAM, which is a global network of purpose-driven leaders, technologists, change makers CEOs (and even astronauts and Olympic medalists!) who are all working to create a better world.
I'm raising money to cover the cost for the program's tuition, accommodations, round-trip airfare to San Francisco and local transportation (bus, ferry, shuttle).
Why does this mean so much to me? It gives me an opportunity to continue doing the work I started with my research and development of Holographic Avatars and Virtual Reality/Mixed Reality work (in support of Avatar D and the 2045 Initiative) and the Air-to-Water Backpack project I started with the Incubator for Innovation/Art of Science Learning (in support of solutions for Water as a Global Grand Challenge).
HIVE provides the environment and people who have access to the missing pieces of the puzzle in all three projects; whether it be technology, funding, manufacturing, engineering, management and network- the convergence of leaders makes the impossible "POSSIBLE"! Many of you who know of my work also know that after my 3-month residency program at Singularity University at NASA in 2011, I was not able to return to continue development on the project I started due to my grandfather passing away 3 days after graduation.
Less than a year later, I tore my Achilles Tendon and had surgery. It took me almost 8 months to recover and learn how to walk all over again. During that time both of my parents ended up in the hospital.
Not only have I had to walk away from my career, but I had to make sacrifices to make ends meet. These events have been financially trying, physically challenging and emotionally difficult to overcome. However, I am not one to give up!
We all go through difficult times at some point in our lives, and we manage to get by with a little help from our friends. With your contribution to my funding campaign, I can get back to doing what I love and am good at; and perhaps even positively impact the lives of thousands of people.

I can also send the video feed back into the virtual world and project it live on a virtual screen (full Mixed-Reality). First proof of concept completed in 2010...before SU at NASA, Google X, Magic Leap, and your VR HMD's. Think of it as life-size Augmented Reality Holographic Telepresence for your virtual self!
