Pat's Anti-Bullying Campaign

Tax deductible
You all know me as Joseph's mom and a passionate supporter of The Arc.  I care deeply for people with developmental disabilities who are judged, marginalized and isolated from their community because of prejudice and ignorance.

I am participating as a Champion in The Arc San Francisco’s Anti-Bullying Campaign.  Graduates from this program become our "Arc Allies"!  This is a really cool peer mentoring project designed to empower our clients to respond to the negative comments and attitudes directed at them in the community.  We are teaching leadership skills, boosting self-esteem and taking these skills into the workplace and social situations.  Some of our Arc clients are straight and some are gay, but all have been bullied.

Please join me in my campaign to raise $1,000 to support The Arc San Francisco’s Anti-Bullying Campaign.  We are creating a new generation of leaders who will defend and champion their peers with developmental disabilities while raising awareness about bullying in the community. This leadership training program,  Arc Allies, helps our clients become peer mentors and role models.  We want to raise enough money to fund 14 new Arc Allies this summer.

I invite you to join me by contributing whatever amount you can and taking the Anti-Bullying Pledge . 100% of the proceeds go towards The Arc’s Anti-Bullying and Arc Allies Programs.

We have all witnessed or experienced bullying, please help me stop it here at home.

Thanks in advance for whatever you can do!
