My name is Patrick Donlin, I am a 26 year old man born and raised in New Jersey. I am a sales professional, entrepreneur and also recently found out that I have a rare form of cancer called myoepithelial carcinoma.
I am raising money to build the next phase of my company - www.MedMercenary.com. I have spent the past year building my company both online and offline. My platform is similar to Match.com for sales professionals and will change the way organizations sell into multiple industries - healthcare being the first and most in need of a change. Sales professionals log into my platform entering in their territory, call points, current accounts, target customers among a few other points. My advanced matching algorithm pairs sales professionals based on the likelihood of them being a great fit for doing business together.
The money will be used to:
1) Improve and customize a matching algorithm that is at the heart of the platform
2) Create a new web application
3) Create both iOS and Android applications
I require the funds by the end of January 2017 to launch by May 17, 2017 (also my 27th birthday).
Why this means so much to me? I have wanted to be an entrepreneur since I was 6 years old. From selling lemonade as a child to my running my own landscaping and moving companies in high school and college - its what I love. While this was always a passion, until about 2 months ago I most likely wouldn't have had the courage to ever ask for funds on a platform like this.
2 months ago I found out I have a rare form of cancer. The past few weeks have been... interesting, to say the least. I have come to a realization of how short life truly can be. When you know what you want, go for it with all your strength - and thats what I am doing. Please help me to fulfill my dreams and change the way organizations sell into the healthcare industry and numerous others. I have put thousands of my own dollars and hundreds of hours of work into this and I am almost there!
