Hi! I'm Bret Broadwater, founder of Christian Carpenters' Foundation.
For the past 3 years, CCF has been working with a hispanic speaking congregation in Durham, NC known as Iglesia Cristiana Emanuel (I.C.E.). Two of the people we have gotten to know and love are the pastor and his wife, Roberto & Delia Rodriguez.
As hopefully you can imagine, I.C.E. is not a wealthy church who are using their funds for church growth and community outreach, Roberto & Delia have insisted that they get a minimual salary, just enough to meet their basic human needs only.
Since emigrating from Honduras in 2001 to attend seminary, and then taking the pulpit of I.C.E. the only automobiles the Rodriquezes have had are multipli- owned beater cars. The last one, which they got 4 years out of, was a 1991 Honda Civic, which died last month.
So here is the deal: We, my wife & I, have a 2012 Fiat 500 Pop which we would like to give to the Rodriguezes. Unfortunately the car still has a loan balance which must be paid off in order to transfer the title. That is what the $10,560.00 campaign goal is: payoff on the loan.
Seeing as how Roberto is constantly working to expand the church in Durham (a virtual doubling in attendance on Sunday mornings over the last 3 years),creating new ways to share the gospel (a new Sunday School regimen for both children and adults) and constantly looking for ways to fill his community's needs, his minimual salary cannot cover the cost of car payments.
Won't you help us put a fine set of wheels under the Rodriguezes, so they can continue to spread the gospel in Durham, and North Carolina and all of the Americas.

Durante los últimos tres años, CCF ha estado trabajando con una congregación hispana en Durham, Carolina del Norte, conocida como la Iglesia Cristiana Emanuel. Dos de las personas que hemos llegado a conocer y amar son el pastor y su esposa, Roberto y Delia Rodríguez.
Como ya podrás imaginar, la Iglesia Cristiana Emanuel no es una iglesia lucrativa, pero usa sus fondos para el crecimiento de la iglesia y el alcance de la comunidad. Roberto y Delia insisten en que reciban un salario mínimo, justo lo suficiente como para cumplir solamente con sus necesidades básicas.
Desde su emigración de Honduras en el 2001 a asistir al seminario, y a luego tomar el puesto de Pastor de la Iglesia Cristiana Emanuel, los únicos carros que los Rodríguez han tenido son carros usados. El último que consiguieron y que pudieron usar durante cuatro años fue un Toyota Tercel del 2001, el cual se arruinó el mes pasado.
Aquí les va el asunto: Nosotros, mi esposa y yo, tenemos un Fiat 500 Pop del año 2012, el cual nos gustaría darles a los Rodríguez. Desafortunadamente, el carro todavía tiene un saldo en el préstamo, el cual se debe cancelar para poder transferir el título. Así que la meta de la campaña es ésta: pagar los $10,560 para cancelar el saldo del préstamo.
Considerando que Roberto está trabajando constantemente para expandir la iglesia en Durham (la cual ha visto una duplicación en la asistencia durante estos tres últimos años), creando nuevas maneras de compartir el Evangelio (al crear un nuevo programa de Escuela Dominical para ambos niños y adultos), y constantemente buscando maneras de cumplir con las necesidades de su comunidad, su salario mínimo no puede cubrir el costo mensual de un carro.
¿Podrías ayudarnos a poner un lindo par de ruedas bajo los Rodríguez, para que ellos puedan continuar difundiendo el Evangelio en Durham, en Carolina del Norte, y en todas las Américas?
