Passing of Denver Keisman
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Amanda Davis or Mandy as some call me. I'm reaching out to all the amazing people that have shown so much support through this battle my dad is fighting because of covid. His lungs have been severely damaged from the covid. With him being in final-stage renal failure, it's taking everything he's got to get through this.
He is having a trach and feeding tube inserted as I write this. The trach is being inserted to avoid damage to his vocal cords and esophagus (for swallowing). He will only be able to stay at the hospital for aftercare for 10 days, then he will have to move to a long-term care facility that can handle dialysis and ventilator care.
UH University Hospital in Amherst has denied his insurance, so now we wait to see if Regency Hospital in Middleburg will accept his insurance. The out-of-pocket expenses are already piling up.
If you can find it in your heart to give what you can, our family would be eternally grateful. We're hoping we can get him the best aftercare possible so we can get our dad, husband, grampa, brother & friend back. We will also be holding a benefit for Denver at the Amherst Eagles on May 21, 2023, from 1pm-6pm. I will post the benefit dinner flyer in the comments below.
Thank you to everyone who has been thinking and praying for him. It's been an overwhelming experience to see the compassion people have for others. Let's get Denver home! Thank you all in advance.
