Replacing the stolen Pass The Smile artwork

Donation protected
Hi, I'm Scott - Ben's Dad.

Sarah and I are fundraising to replace the Art In The Park childhood cancer journey artwork that was stolen on the weekend of Saturday 6th May.

The artwork was put in place in early April in the woods near Memorial Park in Coventry, with thanks to the South Earlsdon Neighbourhood Association (SENA). It has been well received, but unfortunately some vandals have now stolen 29 of the 33 pieces of art over the weekend. We need to replace them so the exhibition can move to it's next planned destination in the next few months.

We simply can't understand why people would do that. No original artwork has been lost as they were all printed copies but to have them removed like this is devastating for us and the families involved. We understand displaying artwork outside carries a risk but we were prepared to take that risk in order to share the stories of our amazing children. We were prepared for some damage and wear and tear, but we just weren't prepared for theft on this scale.

We would very much like the artwork back if possible, even if it's damaged. So, if you see any of the pieces please collect them and let us know and we will pick them up.

After losing our gold bikes and postbox toppers among other things we are disappointed that this has happened but as before, we regroup and carry on. Our children are too important for us to stop because of the actions of a few.
