On December 11, 2024, what began as an ordinary Wednesday quickly turned into the beginning of a life-altering journey for Pam, a devoted single mother and loyal employee who has served faithfully in the same position for 25 years. That morning, coworkers noticed the yellowing of her eyes—a sign Pam initially brushed off. But within a day, severe symptoms emerged: relentless nausea, vomiting, and what appeared to be blood in her urine.

By December 18, her condition had worsened significantly. After seeing her doctor, Pam was rushed to the emergency room with an urgent warning—“Do not let them send her home. She is extremely sick.”

From that day forward, Pam’s life became a whirlwind of hospital stays, invasive testing, and surgeries. She’s been admitted to multiple hospitals, including Ascension Sacred Heart and The Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, where she continues to receive advanced care.

Pam has undergone:

• Several extended hospitalizations

• Multiple blood transfusions

• GI procedures and colonoscopies

• Aneurysm surgery

• Dental surgery for transplant readiness

As of August 13, 2025, Pam has been officially placed on the Liver Transplant List at The Mayo Clinic.

Through all of this, Pam remains incredibly strong—not just for herself, but for her 14-year-old daughter, a talented high school freshman and gifted violinist who has been her mother's greatest cheerleader.
