My friend and colleague Pam had extensive back surgery in March of 2017. After her family and friends outfitted her house with a wheelchair ramp, she returned home in July. Pam's made great progress, but has a ways to go to complete her recovery. In addition, the surgery and the necessary recovery have forced Pam to retire after over 19 years at the Child Development Lab at the University of Missouri (where we were fortunate enough to have Pam educate both our children).
The recommended course of treatment is for Pam to continue rehabilitation at Mizzou Rehab Center here in Columbia.  This type of surgery and recovery is costly and lengthy, and we started this campaign to help Pam and her husband of 24 years, Ron, defray some of the costs they already have and will continue to accrue.
