Hi, my name is Alyssa Reader. It is with a heavy heart that I am trying to raise funds to help my aunt, Pam Moon, (my mom’s sister) pay for her cancer treatment. She was just diagnosed with advanced Stage III cervical cancer. They suspect it may even be Stage IV but need to wait until her kidney function is good enough to do a CT with contrast to get a final staging. The tumor is quite large and blocked her kidneys from draining properly so she has outside drainage bags to relieve her kidneys (nephrostomy). She'll need aggressive chemo radiation to try and shrink the tumor before doing surgery to remove it and doing a hysterectomy. The cost will be hefty and unfortunately she doesn’t have health insurance. It's so hard for me to write all of this. We just love her so incredibly much.

Let me tell you something about my aunt... She is one of the most down-to-earth, selfless people I have ever met. She’s such a bright light in this world. I know, I know, everyone says that, but it's so incredibly true. If you were ever in trouble or just simply needed to talk, she is there for you no matter what. Her kindness and compassion for others literally beams every day. Even on days she didn't feel well, you would never know. She has two sons, a wonderful husband & a ten year old granddaughter who, at this point, are speechless; we all are. This is something so unimaginable.
