Allison has been on a long journey. In 2022 she developed foot drop. We thought it was a complication of an ankle injury. It turned out it was much worse. She developed progressive weakness and muscle tightness. Eventually this led to her becoming wheelchair dependent. Through 3 years and a ton of testing, the disease is most similar to juvenile als. We have come to find out that it impacts her lungs significantly. It also impacts her intestines, limbs, veins, trunk, and head. There is no treatment. Unfortunately, Allison has become weaker and weaker. This has made transfers quite difficult. She really needs a full on power chair, but to do this, we need an adaptive van. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you for coming along on the journey.
