My name is Zaheera Soomar, a South African and Canadian national.

I have always been pro Palestinian as a South African and have grown up fighting for their freedom. I am also a muslim and justice is a cornerstone of our religion. I have been very active on the movement and recently joined the Global Sumud Flotilla to try and break the siege. I was imprisoned in the Zionist entity and faced harsh, brutal treatment. This has made me double down on my commitment alhamdulillah.

Since the most recent attacks started in 2023, I have been raising money to support Palestinian families that have been displaced to try and bring relief and help them rebuild.

I work with trusted organisations (Laud al Auda, Kinder Relief, Hopes Foundation) on the ground to deliver the work. And ensure that 100% of the funds are passed on.

Funds will be used to support Palestinian families in Gaza, Palestinian refugees outside of Gaza, and to raise awareness for the cause and movement to fight for a free and liberated Palestine.
