Palace Theatre Oakland Purchase
Donation protected
I am Raisin Cane and I started Raisin Cane Studios, a venue for performances, films, community events, and classes in the arts. I purchased a historical firehouse in Vallejo California as one of two properties for the studio. I am completing the purchase of the historic Palace Theatre in Oakland, CA. This is a 18,000 square foot theatre (800+ audience) with many diverse classrooms, offices and retail areas. Its value is over 2.6 million. I am in need of a remaining 60000 to complete this purchase. This theatre is in a depressed area of Oakland, which is about to experience a boom when the multi-million dollar Brooklyn Basin project completes in 2017. Oakland is set to prosper in the next few years, with the theatre doubling in value in just the last year.
The plan is to run a Comi-Con North here, film festivals (e.g., zombie film festival, etc. ), concerts, performances, screenings, pitchfests, workshops, classes, kids' matinees, kung fu nights, bingo, wine tastings and more! I am so excited about the possibilities of this theatre.
My problem is that I need to close the deal now. I have already put all my liquid cash down into the huge deposit which I will lose if I do not complete this purchase. I am looking for Angel investors to help me complete the purchase. In return, these special people will own a share of the theatre and share in a percentage of all future proceeds from these afore-mentioned revenue generating events held at the theatre. I have to raise $60000 as soon as possible. Can this be done? I have never said never and this theatre will change Oakland and the people in the community like nothing else. I have been out in the neighborhoods surrounding the theatre and they are welcoming us with open arms.
Am I crazy? Maybe! But I believe that Palace Theatre and Raisin Cane Films studio has the potential to be a powerful force to generate jobs, provide mentorship and training for community members and help revive and piece back together a battered community.
What if, in the worst case scenario, disaster hits after you made the investment and no events ever take place at the theatre and the theatre had to be sold? Know that the value of the theatre will grow exponentially in the near future, so your investment will pay off tenfold. You are not investing in film, you are investing in real estate and in a booming community.
Whatever amount you contribute, you will own the percentage of your investment that totals $1.7 million. It's possible if I can find investors willing to help. I have never asked for much, but I can't do this one on my own in time. Can you be one of my Angels? Please... This is a fantastic investment opportunity in a historic theatre that deserves a chance to thrive again as a theatre that belongs to the people of the Bay Area. On the same token, it's an investment in the community by helping launch a film and TV production studio that will generate jobs and revive a depressed economy.
In return you can receive stock in the corporation and memberships for writers, filmmakers and venue goers are available with many perks.
For more details and an investor form, please call me at (707) [phone redacted], or email me at [email redacted].
I can not express how thankful I will be... I will pay it back in action, in profits and in eternal gratitude.
Thank you so much for visiting my GoFundMe campaign and, in advance, for your prospective investment in Palace Theatre and Raisin Cane Films.
Very sincerely yours,
Raisin Cane
