My name is SGT Brendan Ireland and I have PTSD.  While in Iraq, the Stryker attack vehicle I was in was blown up… twice.  The first time it was hit by an RPG and the second time it was hit by a deep buried improvised explosive device.  I thought I was fine when I got off active duty but it become increasingly obvious to my wife, and finally me, that I wasn’t.


    After being seen by a psychiatrist I was diagnosed with PTSD.  Some days are tougher than others but what helps the most is being creative.  I would like to share this creativity with the world and, if I can take care of my family with it, that would be my dream come true.

     With your generous donation, I can make this dream a reality.  Your gift will go toward starting an apparel business.  The whole business is laid out from designs to marketing and the monetary component is the last piece of the puzzle.  A portion of all the proceeds will go to help other veterans on their road to recovery, start their own business or both.  This dream come true will allow me to give my gift to many, many people.

     Your gift will be used for:

·      initial stock

·      website creation costs

·      and storage space

     However, the most important part is that you will be helping a disabled veteran achieve his dream to provide for his family and create something that will benefit others.

     My goal is to have the money raised by November 2016.  I have found my desired location in Hacienda Heights, CA.

     After my experiences in Iraq I have a different perspective on life.  I know the meaning of the phrase “life is short”.  Mine was almost much shorter.  Now, I have a chance to help others and bring joy to my family and everyone else who enjoys wearing the art I create. I have served others for many years and I now would like to do it in a different capacity.  I love people, I love giving and I love my family. In essence, love is why this means so much to me.
