For just about everyone, 2020 has been a year to forget. This year has especially been hitting small businesses extremely hard. Understandably, entertainment and events hasn't been high on most people's minds this year which has had a devastating impact on Press Start Gaming Center and other LAN centers and arcades.
The family we have all built around this place over the years has been amazing. The support and understanding of gamers is the only reason we are still standing. I was fully prepared for the fate of losing everything WE ALL have worked so hard to build for the last 7 years, but the words of encouragement from the gaming community locally, nationally, and even internationally gives me the strength to keep fighting. So here we are.
After a nearly 3 month shutdown we reopened only to be a shell of what we were before the pandemic started. Tournaments, events, and socializing isn't high on many people's list of priorities right now. But there is light at the end of the tunnel and an end to this horrible pandemic appears to be on the horizon. There is a chance for PSG and other venues like us to flourish once again, perhaps even stronger than before. But in order to make it to tomorrow, we need your help today. Along with the small pockets of business we are currently receiving, your donations will help keep our doors open and more importantly, help us be open when everyone is ready and it's safe to do so. Our set goal will help give us an injection of capital from some of the loses over the last few months and about half of five months operating costs.
I so look forward to a post-Covid Press Start Gaming Center. Soon we can have packed venue events, giveaways, and parties. We can make new friends and reunite with old friends. With your help I am confident we will get there.
