For more than 20 years, PS9 Pets has been a part of the Williamsburg community. Founded by Joan Christian, PS9 isn’t just a pet store — it’s a place where people come for honest advice, quality products, and familiar, friendly faces. It’s where countless cats, dogs, and their humans have found what they needed, and where relationships—not transactions—have always come first.

Like many small businesses, PS9 is struggling to keep up in a world that’s rapidly shifting to online shopping and big-box competitors. Business simply isn’t what it used to be, despite our dedication, hard work, and deep love for our customers and the animals we have served. Right now, PS9 needs help to remain open and continue serving the community it has supported for decades. The funds raised will go directly toward paying bills and covering any debt, giving PS9 a chance to stay afloat and keep its doors open.
