PROJECT 1000 - Empowering Girls through Sport

THE 1,000KM CHALLENGE

Hi I'm Natalie Dau (known as Rockstararms on social media) and on May 25, 2024 I will be doing a 1,000km solo run, covering 3 countries, and hopefully setting a Guinness World Record in the process. Starting in Hat Yai Thailand, continuing through the length of Malaysia, and finishing on June 5 in Singapore to celebrate Global Running Day. The run will consist of 2 marathons (85km) a day for 12 days straight. No rest days, no back up plan... it's do or die trying!

THE CAUSE

I am dedicating this run to raising money and awareness to support girls and women to be healthy, physically active and promote body positivity across cultures. The global charity your donations will go to is GRLS. It is all about creating a better environment for young girls and women to exercise their rights to and through sport and play.

GRLS focuses on three main goals:

1) Working closely with their partners to support young girls and women to stand up for their rights in their communities

2) Making sports and sports programmes more fair and welcoming for everyone

3) Helping feminist groups and movements to make big changes in society
