The maternal mortality rate in Sudan is 311 per 100,000 live births according to the UNFPA (https://www.unfpa.org/publications/trends-maternal-mortality-1990-2015). 
SAMA delivered jhpiego’s Helping-Mothers Survive-Bleeding After Birth training module. We trained 24 Helping Mothers Survive Master Trainers and 163 midwives.
Our current aim is to train 600 midwives by the end of 2016 and provide them with supplies and consumables to ensure safe deliveries in their communities . We need your support to raise $10,000 to enable SAMA to support this program that directly impacts the lives of Sudanese mothers and reduce maternal mortality rates (saving mothers empowers generations and communities).
