As the COVID cases in Iraq are growing, we are seeing much higher death rates among medical responders and hospitals in Iraq.
This tragedy is made worse by the very difficult situation in Iraq over the past few years, as the finances are very challenging for all.
I am excited to announce that we have started a @GoFundMe campaign and partnership to acquire faceshields for hospitals in affected areas in Iraq.
We are partnering with Wedge Medical in Columbia, who is currently producing equipment for hospitals in the US, to supply equipment for Iraq.
Our friends at Wedge are manufacturing the equipment and helping manage logistics to get shields and masks shipped rapidly to Baghdad.
Our goal is to get 3,000 shields into the main hospitals in Baghdad, to protect DRs, Nurses, and other first responders there.
As we have seen the news in Iraq, the situation is getting worse, and the hospitals have no money for supplies and materials.
This is our opportunity to help the nation in this very terrible situation.
