PPE For Guam - COVID-19 Response
Donation protected
Guam's healthcare workers need your help! With the nationwide shortage in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), the CDC recommends making homemade PPE as a last resort. We're working with GMH and GRMC to obtain sterile PPE donations and make PPE to fill in the gaps until traditional supply chains can meet demand. 100% of your donations will fund the raw materials so that volunteers can make PPE. If our efforts to support the community with PPE alternatives are no longer needed, we will use any remaining funds to purchase regular PPE and supplies as they become available. We will follow the directions of the healthcare community to the best of our abilities. We are concerned members of our island community. All products will be donated to local hospitals, first responders, charities, and others in need.
The GoFundMe organizer is Ariel Weingarten, who is from Oregon. Her brother Dr. David Weingarten and many friends are part of the medical community here on Guam. These people are working tirelessly with the PPE for Guam team to support the needs of our communities. Ariel is acting as the treasurer for the team to reimburse purchases made on behalf of PPE for Guam.
