Help!  This emoji has better protection than many healthcare professionals on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic!We are two physicians, mothers, and friends who have worked together in CA for years.  In addition to our love of medicine, family, and science; we are bonded by our "get it done now!" attitudes that partly came from our training in NYC.

The devastation that is occurring in our former training institutions is hard to process.  Our hearts ache as we hear what our mentors and colleagues are dealing with in NYC.  To that end, we are heeding our friends' warnings loud and clear - which is to prepare now and procure our own PPE (personal protective equipment) before it is too late .  We know that the government and major health care systems are taking action but it may not occur in time.

With that realization we are seriously taking on the procurement of PPE and are teaming up to ask for your support.  Your contribution will help us to directly procure the appropriate PPE that are essential to keeping us and your families safe!  

Every dollar that we raise will be spent on purchasing N95 masks, protective goggles, face shields, isolation gowns, protective hair and foot covers, and innovative devices designed to mitigate spread during procedures.
