What We're Doing
Every day, healthcare workers in NYC are putting their lives on the line to save the lives of others. The lives of your community. The lives of your neighbors. The lives of your friends. The lives of your family.
From the EMTs on the scene, to the nurses and doctors treating patients, to all the support staff that allow them to do their jobs, many of our healthcare workers are still drastically short on the personal protective equipment (PPE) necessary to do their jobs safely and effectively.
Partnering with Help Hospitals and others groups within the PPE Coalition, we initially raised more than $3,000 in donations within 72 hours, with an additional $3,000 worth of masks donated, and food and beverage donations from companies like Brew Dr Kombucha, you all have already made an amazing contribution, but we're not out of the woods yet.
Our healthcare workers risk our lives to keep us safe. Now let's do the same for them!
Where Your Donation Goes
We've been trying to donate masks to those hardest hit. Particularly to healthcare workers in Queens (Elmhurst Hospital) and the Bronx (Montefiore Hospital).
What We're Ordering
- KN95 masks ($1.55+)
- N95 Masks ($5+)
- Surgical masks ($0.80+)
We also have the ability to get face masks, gowns, and other forms of PPE, but so far, masks have been the biggest request.
