As most of the community and state know. Deputy Justin DeRosier was killed on duty April 13th 2019. He was the son of our coworker Neil DeRosier. We are deeply saddened here at the navigation division of Port of Portland. The community lost a great deputy, father, and son. He left behind a wife and a beautiful 5 month old daughter. Here at the Port of Portland navigation divison are reaching out to Port employees ,coworkers, family and friends and the community to help out in anyway they can during this hard time for the family, and to show support so they know they are not alone.
