My name is Deborah, and I’m facing eviction with a lockout scheduled for August 19th. This fundraiser is to help me, my adult autistic son, his emotional support dog, and our three cats stay in our home and avoid homelessness. We were served an eviction notice by the sheriff, and the situation is urgent.

Earlier this year, I suffered injuries from a fall down the stairs, which kept me out of work for nearly three months. Although I’m working again, I haven’t been able to catch up on the back rent. On top of that, I’m living with two blood cancers, and the medical bills have been overwhelming. My health makes it hard to know how long I’ll be able to keep working, and my son relies on me for stability and care.

If we’re able to raise enough funds, I’ll use them to pay the back rent and hopefully prevent the lockout. This would give us time to find more affordable housing and keep our family together. Any support will help us stay safe, keep our pets with us, and avoid the trauma of homelessness.
