Donation protected
Hello friends,
As you are no doubt aware, we recently lost our good friend Paul Ahrens on March 1, 2016. Unfortunately, because Paul had no family, no life insurance, etc, there were costs associated with his death that were accrued. Among them, housing and cremation of his body, hazmat and initial cleaning of his apartment, removal of all personal belongings, legal fees etc. that had to be assumed by a small few who were not necessarily in a position to take on these costs. In order to soften the blow of these costs, we have started a GoFundMe page in an effort to offset the financial obligations that have been generously taken on by a few people. This allowed us to insure that Paul was not buried in a pauper’s grave, and that we had opportunity to share his belongings and art with friends rather than needing to quickly remove everything.
We are asking those of you who cared about Paul, as well as those of you who know the people who have worked really hard to make the above possible during this difficult time, to contribute from the heart what you can. We have an estimated goal of $2500. This will not cover everything, but will at least allow us to reimburse a majority of the financial outlay that people have made thus far.
