Harvey Andrew Miller was born to Raegan and Jeff Miller on Thursday, May 17th 2018. During Raegan's pregnancy a few abnormalities were detected in Harvey’s heart during a routine ultrasound. He was diagnosed with an extremely rare abnormality called Hypo-plastic right heart syndrome with pulmonary stenosis. Raegan met with doctors every week to monitor his heart and develop a plan with some of the best pediatric cardiac doctors in the country.
Two weeks before Raegan was due, Jeff was very unexpectedly let go from his job without notice or cause leaving them under-insured and unemployed.
When Harvey was born, doctors discovered another very serious abnormality called Esophageal atresia and Tracho esophageal fistula. His esophagus had not fully formed and had attached to the trachea, which prevented him from swallowing, eating, and allowed fluid into his lungs. He had to have a major surgery 36 hours after birth to repair this and has been on a ventilator to support him to breathe.
As you can imagine the medical bills are growing drastically by the day. We want to help relieve some of the financial stress on this young hardworking family so they can focus solely on the healing and care for their new baby.
Harvey is a fighter, he has a few more battles to fight and a few more surgeries on his heart in the near future. Any support you can offer this family is met with immense gratitude.
