Our beloved friend, uncle, brother, son, and mentor Jojo has left us unexpectedly.  In his lifetime, Jojo advocated for social justice, and he gave us the concept of "kich-ability" ("we are" or "we together"), urging us to reframe (dis)ability as a collective, not only individual, concern.  Always focused on the needs of others, he fearlessly led community in fighting injustice through policy, advocacy, and education.  He unconditionally cared for his community, tirelessly fostering connectivity between the many different realms he seamlessly inhabited and influenced. Making us all family.

His death is a great loss to his family and community.  However, he planted so many seeds we know he will continue to inspire many generations to come through his hard work, beautiful spirit, and wise writing.  His fearlessness, commitment, and love woven into so many lives, we will forever be grateful for all that he has done.  

We know many want to give back.  Please help us support his family and his trip back to the Center of the Universe - so he can enjoy the sun, moon, and ocean, of his homeland on Ettal in the Mortlocks.

All funds will be gifted to Jojo’s beloved family to help pay for his passage home.  (The charter boat from Weno to Ettal alone costs $7,000, and the cost of one plane transport is nearly $4,000.  And many more costs are pending in Hawaii and Chuuk.)
