Our journey started with our two beloved cats, who inspired us to start feeding the stray cats around our home. Over time, more cats showed up, and we began caring for them and their kittens. One of the hardest moments we experienced was watching a tiny kitten get sick and feeling helpless, knowing we wanted to do everything we could to save it. Sadly, we lost that little one, and it made us realize how many other cats face similar struggles without anyone to help them.

In our neighborhood, cat overpopulation has become a serious problem, with more stray cats and kittens appearing every year. We want to do our part by supporting TNR efforts throughout our city to help control the population humanely and prevent more unwanted litters. But we also believe these cats deserve more than just survival. They deserve a chance to live full, happy lives in a safe environment where they can receive care, feel protected, and never have to struggle alone.

We are currently funding this lifelong project ourselves, and we are committed to continuing to do so for as long as we can. Donations are never expected, but they are deeply appreciated and truly help us reach more cats in need. Our dream is to build a small cat sanctuary where we can provide a safe place for stray cats, care for abandoned kittens, and temporarily foster cats facing euthanasia while they wait for a loving home. We also want to support TNR efforts, provide food and medical care to cats in need, and help local rescues and people doing their best to care for these animals.

We know we can't save every cat, but we believe we can make a difference, one life at a time. Our long-term goal is to purchase land, build safe and secure cat housing, and create a place dedicated to giving these animals the care, protection, and second chances they deserve.

Our Plan and Estimated Costs

To make this dream a reality, our first goal is to purchase suitable land for the sanctuary. We will then prepare the property, install secure fencing to help protect the cats from outside dangers, and build safe, sheltered spaces for feeding, recovery, and temporary fostering.

Our preliminary cost estimates are:

Land purchase: $65000

Cat housing materials and labor: $10000

Land clearing and preparation: $4000

Fencing and protection: $5000

These are starting estimates, and we will update them as we obtain quotes and determine the full costs of building and operating the sanctuary. While we work toward purchasing land, we also hope to help cats in immediate need through food, veterinary care, and support for local rescuers.

This is about more than feeding stray cats. It's about building a future where fewer cats are left hungry, abandoned, or without hope. Our goal is to create a sanctuary that can continue making a difference for years to come.
