Hello, this is Sebahat, speaking up for Dumpster Doggies, which is suddenly in crisis.
Many of my followers suggested that I start this campaign, and so I am here to ask for your urgent help.
As most of my supporters know, I had an accident the first week of February and my vehicle was badly damaged. Right now, it is under repair. The owner of the repair shop said it will take a minimum of 1.5-2 months to repair it. It is hard to find some parts for this old van. The repairman said that even if it is repaired, it will not give the same performance as before. So, we are seriously looking into buying a suitable replacement.
We have found temporary solutions: sometimes we borrow our friends' cars when they are available and sometimes we rent a car. But the cost of a rental is very high in Turkey. It costs 700₺ (almost 40 dollars) a day. And to that we must add the cost of fuel. I don't know for how much time we can afford to rent.
For the ones who don't know what I am doing, I have a shelter 40 km from where I live. There are about 80 dogs—sick, disabled, old, and puppies—all in need of care. I have to go to our shelter every day, to set out their food, refresh their water and give medicine to the sick ones. Winter is so extreme in Kastamonu that water is often frozen. That's why we need to carry water in addition to food. All of these daily tasks need a vehicle—like the one now out of commission.
Apart from that, I have a feeding zone 140 km (round trip) from where I live. I go there every 5 days to take care of around 200 dogs. Also, I go to coastal towns that are 300 km from where I live, where I take care of around 150 dogs who are abandoned by the roadsides in the forests. I go there once a week. In addition, we have 70 cats that we look after with a friend in a village. Moreover, in the past three years, I helped with the spaying of more than 600 dogs. And all of these endeavors rely on suitable transportation.

We need a car to reach these innocent souls to feed and take care of them, to give them everyday treatments, and to spay them. We need to have a vehicle that has the capacity to carry food, water, and dogs. Our old model was suitable for what we are doing, but it's out of production now. With careful research, we have found several models that could work well for us. If you would like to help these innocent souls, we would like to buy such a vehicle to continue our commitment to the many dogs we are already helping, and to reach out to ever more dogs and help them survive—and thrive.
