Dear friends,
Words are failing me right now as I try to write this update. Please forgive me that this is not the eloquent, beautiful note that Chas deserves. With much sadness I need to let you know that Chas passed away last night. He sent me a thank you note a few months ago to post on this site and I selfishly hadn't been able to share it as it was too heartbreaking. Here goes..
"There are not enough words to express how grateful I am for all of your warm wishes, donations, prayers and laughs. You've all helped in subduing my fears and stress. I still have a ways left in recovering but I feel assured that with the friends and family that I've been so incredibly blessed with that I'll be back to 100 percent in godspeed. Thank you with all of my heart!" Chas
His mom sent me the perfect response this morning..
"He never got a chance to recover - but he lived life more fully and richer than anyone ever could.
He taught us all to cherish each moment - no matter how insignificant it may seem - the gift of life is precious. He knew what so many of us search for.
Thank you. " Julie
Thank you all for loving and caring for Chas. Please feel free to leave any notes or stories you would like to share here.
Love,
Michelle
