Help Us Save Oscar – Our Hound Needs Surgery

I’m reaching out urgently to ask for help for our dog, Oscar. He has been diagnosed with an anal tumor, which has grown significantly in the last two months. Our vet has said that it needs to be removed immediately to prevent further complications.

These tumors are often aggressive, quickly invading surrounding tissues and potentially spreading to other parts of the body. Without surgery, his condition will only worsen. - Vets words not mine

Oscar is only 7 years young, and he still has so much life left to live. He’s a super sweet boy (most of the time!), and our family can't imagine life without him. But most importantly, he has three little humans who love him dearly and we want him to stay around for many more years.

Oscar has given us so much over his short life, we want to be able to give him as much time as we can.

My hope is to remove the tumor as soon as possible, give Oscar more time, and help him avoid cancer treatments for as long as possible while living a pain-free life.

The cost of surgery, diagnostics, and follow-up care is estimated to be around $6,000, which is more than I can afford on my own. I truly hate asking for help, but I refuse to give up on our smelly hound. As a single mom, every dollar counts and this is far beyond what I can do to help him. He’s more than just a pet— Oscar is our family.

Any amount you can give, big or small, will help us get Oscar’s tumor removed. If we are lucky enough to raise more than what’s needed, I will donate the extra funds to our local animal shelter to help other pets in need.

Thank you so much for your support and kindness during Oscar’s earlier vet visits—it truly meant the world.

Unfortunately, we’re back with an urgent need. One of Oscar’s tumors, which we had hoped to avoid removing, has tripled in size since April. While he’s still in good spirits, our vet now says surgery is necessary to avoid serious complications.

The estimated cost is over $6,000, and we’re hoping for help to make this happen as soon as possible. Anything you can give—whether it’s a donation or a share—means so much.

Thank You So Much – Oscar’s Update

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out with a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, and sent kind words for Oscar. It really meant a lot that I could get him to Angel quickly and help him.

I’m sorry it’s taken a while to post an update.

Over the last few months, Oscar has had three visits to Angel Animal Medical Center. The team there has done multiple procedures and provided much-needed answers and support. He is still receiving care and I’m optimistic about his progress.
