To all of our family and friends the Ornelas family is facing some of the most difficult times in their lives right now and they need our love and support more than ever. As you may already know Vincent Ruben Ornelas suffered a traumatic brain injury in January of this year. He has had a tough but remarkable recovery these past couple of months, we can now say he is recovering well. Vincent Ruben is currently at the Care Meridian Rehabilitation facility in Las Vegas, NV but unfortunately he can only stay there for a few weeks. We would cherish the opportunity to bring Ruben to a facility near home in Santa Barbara, CA to finish his recovery among family and friends. Unfortunately earlier this month his father, best friend and caretaker Vincent Edward Ornelas had​ fallen very ill​ very fast​ with end stage renal failure and it is with a heavy heart that we​ report he has left us for a better place just yesterday 4/1/2015.​ We know he is now in no pain and walking hand in hand with his wife Rita in the clouds of heaven.​​ He passed away with​ ​his daughter Veronica at his side at a ​Hospice Center in Las Vegas.We have decided that it is time to create a fund to bring Vincent Ruben Ornelas home to finish his rehabilitation nearer to his sister Veronica, family and friends. We will also need to bring their​ father Vincent Edward Ornelas home to Santa Barbara so he may eternally rest in peace alongside his beloved wife Rita Rivera Ornelas.
