Help Keep Andasifahadimy’s Free Health Clinic Open
Support essential medicines, medical supplies, and salaries for our nurse and midwife—a lifeline for mothers, babies, and the entire community in rural Madagascar.
The doors are open. Families are receiving care. Now, we need your help to keep that care available.
In the remote village of Andasifahadimy in eastern Madagascar, reaching healthcare has long meant walking for hours—sometimes an entire day. For families with limited resources, those distances can put even basic medical attention out of reach.
Thanks to construction funding from Seacology, the work of local builders, and the commitment of the community, the Andasifahadimy Community Health Clinic is now a reality.
Our next challenge is sustaining it: keeping the shelves stocked, supporting our healthcare staff, and ensuring that care remains free.
A Building Is Only the Beginning
Opening the clinic was an enormous milestone. But providing reliable healthcare takes ongoing support.
Medicines run out. Medical supplies need replenishing. Equipment needs maintenance. And the trained professionals caring for patients need dependable salaries.
Your donation helps turn a completed building into a lasting community resource—a place families can continue to turn to when they need help.
What Your Donation Supports
Funds raised will help cover:
* Salaries for our nurse and midwife, supporting consistent care from trained Malagasy healthcare professionals.
* Essential medicines and medical supplies, including wound-care materials, oral rehydration salts, gloves, and other everyday necessities.
* Maternal and infant care supplies, supporting care during pregnancy, after birth, and through early childhood.
* Basic clinical equipment, including blood pressure cuffs, thermometers, and diagnostic supplies.
* Cleaning and infection-prevention materials, helping maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
* Transport and essential operating costs, helping supplies reach this remote community and keeping the clinic functioning.
Staff salaries are an essential part of this work. Supplies make treatment possible; trained people make care possible. Both need sustained funding.
Care for Mothers, Babies, and the Whole Community
Maternal and infant health remain central to this project. Access to a trained midwife close to home can help women receive guidance, recognize concerns earlier, and connect with additional care when needed.
But this clinic is also here for children, adults, and elders.
A child with a fever. A parent with an infected wound. An older person needing a blood pressure check. These everyday needs deserve timely attention, before they become more serious.
Our goal is to make basic healthcare a dependable part of community life.
Healthy Communities, Healthy Environments
Led by The Dr. Abigail Ross Foundation for Applied Conservation (TDARFAC) alongside the community of Andasifahadimy, this work reflects a One Health approach: recognizing that the health of people, animals, and the environment is connected.
The clinic also provides a place for education and community activities, bringing practical health knowledge and environmental awareness closer to the families who live alongside Madagascar’s forests.
Help Us Keep the Doors Open
We have reached an extraordinary milestone together. Now we are asking for your help to sustain it.
A one-time gift helps meet immediate needs. A monthly donation helps us plan ahead for staff salaries, supplies, and dependable care.
Please donate what you can and share this fundraiser with others.
