One Love School Drive: Rebuilding Jamaica's Schools

Donation protected
Jamaica’s children need us more than ever! We are raising funds to support students and schools along Jamaica’s coast who have been impacted by Hurricane Melissa. All donations will go toward providing school supplies, rebuilding classrooms, and creating safe, supportive environments for children in the hardest-hit coastal parishes of Westmoreland, St. Elizabeth and St. James.

My name is Renée Rattray, a proud daughter of Jamaica, education advocate and founding President of Island Futures Fund and I am inviting you to join me in The One Love School Drive - a community-powered movement dedicated to rebuilding safe, joyful schools for Jamaica’s children.

Your gift, no matter the size, will make a real difference:
  • $25 provides a backpack with essential supplies for one student
  • $50 gives two students full school kits
  • $100 supports uniforms and shoes for four children
  • $500 helps repair a damaged classroom
  • $2,500 repairs a classroom roof or restores technology for an entire grade
  • $10,000 helps rebuild a school building or secure furniture for a demolished classroom.

We are working directly with local educators to ensure that support reaches the students and families who need it most. The first group of schools who will receive support will be Petersfield Primary and High, New Hope Primary, Belmont Academy and Godfrey Stewart High. Through Island Futures Fund, our mission is to champion education, resilience, and leadership across the Caribbean. Now, as our coastal communities face great loss, we’re coming together to uplift our most vulnerable students and rebuild their futures—one school, one classroom, one child at a time.

In addition to financial gifts, we gratefully welcome donations of school supplies—such as backpacks, stationery, uniforms, and books. Every item helps a child return to learning. There are multiple options to contribute:
