God Bless Monis Jaan! You will be sorely missed!

None of us are spared the pain of tragic loss. Whether it was yesteryear, today or some far off day in the future, as subjects of the Almighty, each and every one of us are unfortunately dealt a hand. As if a cut to one’s soul, each instance slices a bit of us away, forever changing one’s being. When that loss is a close loved one, a brother, one’s child… a father & husband, there are no words in any dictionary that could truly describe the sorrow, heartache and anguish. Now imagine, or rather shall I say, attempt to imagine being dealt this hand not once, not twice, but three times within a short span. It is often said “time” is the healer of all wounds. However, can even “time” soothe this many cuts to the soul, made this hastily?

 

This is precisely the circumstance Sadaf Hashimi finds herself in, having lost her brother a couple of years ago, her beautiful 14 month old daughter who had just taken her first steps less than a year ago and today, December 6, 2021, her husband, her partner in life, her soulmate….Monis Jaan. Neither I, nor anyone, can fathom what she and her angelic sons, Zaid and Adeeb must be going through. None of these words, or ANY words… will suffice. However, we can at least attempt to lessen just one of the MANY burdens this family is now faced with, the financial one.
