Final Push for Carla's Life-Saving Treatment

Hi, my name is Carla Crenshaw, and I am 51 years old. I have been living with metastatic carcinoma of unknown origin for the past year and four months. Currently, I am participating in a clinical trial for an experimental drug, and June is my last month in the program. I almost saved enough money to cover the costs, but yesterday, while I was in the ER preparing for a CAT scan, I was told to leave my belongings in the room that I was in that it would be safe there. But someone stole my wallet without me realizing it until I got home. All the money I had saved for this medication is now gone, and I am devastated. Throughout my journey, I have faced numerous medical complications that have forced me to use some funds from the pharmacy that you generously donated to for different medications. While the treatment seems effective against my cancer, it is unfortunately causing serious harm to my internal organs. Today, I am reaching out to ask for donations to help pay for this last month of medication and to cover new illnesses that have arisen due to the chemotherapy in the trial. I am determined to see this through, even if it takes everything I own. Recently, I suffered an aneurysm and stroke when a blood vessel in my brain ruptured, leading to bleeding from my nose and ear. I spent a significant amount of time in the hospital recovering from that, only to develop a respiratory infection that turned into pneumonia, necessitating further hospital care. Additionally, my heart, kidneys, and liver have been damaged as a result of the chemotherapy. While it's astounding that the treatment is working on my cancer, it is also harming my vital organs. In the past, I took some time off from providing updates on my GoFundMe page, but I am committed to keeping everyone informed about my situation moving forward. Anything you can spare would be immensely helpful, as I am currently facing severe financial struggles. I have exhausted my funds traveling to Houston and staying in a hotel for treatment. Although I own my house outright, I have no means to cover my bills. I am selling all my furniture and have closed my business. I used to create arts and crafts, such as wreaths and home décor, and I am selling those items as well.
