We are continually seeking funds to help in the immediate purchase and distribution of food, power, wifi, bulding supplies, hygiene supplies, and medical supplies to Jamaican communities affected by Hurricane Melissa. We are able to receive and ship donated pallets, which will depart from New Jersey to Jamaica.
Since Hurricane Melissa, we have successfully received donations of 16 generators, a pallet of 5,000 T-shirts, and a pallet of 200 tarps. This aid will take weeks to get to Jamaica. We have also received over ten barrels made up of small contributions of second-hand clothing, baby items, and much more.
One Love Relief Fund
- Jesse Lehman is coordinating donations from New Jersey. Jesse Lehman has deep ties to Jamaica having lived on the island at various points in his life.
- Wabba Clayton is coordinating volunteers and distribution in the West End of Jamaica. Wabba Clayton is a well known local community leader in the West End of Jamaica where he runs the Blue Hole Mineral Springs Hotel and operates his own hotel and farm on family land.
- Rabbi Raskin in Montego Bay is coordinating volunteers and distribution in various communities near Mo Bay. Rabbi Raskin has been on the ground from day one hand distributing water and supplies while coordinating shipments of supplies from the US to Jamaica.
- Robert "Longtime Bobby" Lehman is coordinating with local business owners and leaders in Jamaica.
- Darin Lehman is coordinating logistics from Florida. Darin has deep family ties to Jamaica having spent a big part of his childhood on the island.
How will the funds be distributed to Jamaica?
As often as possible, we will purchase items through online retailers in Jamaica for our crew on the ground to pick up. In the event of any cash transfers, we will keep full records of what is purchased. In the unlikely event that there are funds that haven't been used, those funds will be donated to a Jamaican non-profit of our choosing with no affiliation to any of our team.
